Joseph Niles grew up in Bridgehampton, NY. He attended Horry Georgetown Technical College to become a Golf Course Superintendent and ended up getting a degree as a Turf Equipment Technician. He started working at the Club in April of 2010. Before the Club, he worked for Smith Turf and Irrigation as a mobile service technician for the southern 1/3 of the state of South Carolina. He is also certified in electrical, 2 stroke engines, 4 stroke engines, hydraulics and pneumatics and diesel engines.
