Born and raised in Hawaii, Luana now calls the Charleston area home. She started out here working for a landscaping company and quickly caught the passion for the beauty of lowcountry plants. She has been with the Daniel Island Club since 2002, applying her Hawaiian background in ornamental plants with Charleston traditions and has become known for her unique style of design. Luana is a certified Landscape Designer and is also certified in Interior Landscape/Tropical Plants and Ornamental Shrubs/Plants. Her Certification is from Trident Technical College where she was given the honor “All-American Scholar” through the United States Achievement Academy. She was an adjunct instructor for the Horticulture Department at Trident and donated over100 new species of plants for teaching practices. Before Luana came to the Daniel Island Club, she was the Landscape Director for a development company that owned Citadel Mall from 1991 to 2001. While there, she also consulted and designed for other centers through the company. Stop and say hello. She loves to talk plants and flowers!
