Joey Franco is our Director of Agronomy and has been working at the club since 2018. Joey was born in Germany and has lived in Texas, Alabama, and Georgia. He attended Penn State University where he studied Turfgrass Science. Joey worked at numerous golf courses before making his way to the Lowcountry. He is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent and was previously a Golf Course Superintendent at Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta, Georgia. When he is not at work he enjoys fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and of course, golfing.
