Kendall Bennett hails from the Northeast and moved to Charleston from Connecticut in 2000. She attended Pinewood Preparatory School in Summerville and received her degree from the College of Charleston, double majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Business Administration with a double minor in Environmental Science and Nutrition. In 2007, while at the College of Charleston, Kendall accepted an internship with the Events Department at the Daniel Island Club. Upon the internship’s completion, she accepted a full-time position at the Club and wore many hats until 2009 when she moved to Chicago on a whim. She stayed and worked there for just shy of 10 years. Prior to departing for Chicago, Greg Keating told Kendall; “you’ll always have a home here,” and she never forgot his words. It wasn’t until late spring 2018 that Kendall received the opportunity to come back ”home” to the Club. Since her return, she has managed our fine dining outlet, Harry’s, sat on the Employee Advisory Board, help organize the Club’s annual community outreach campaigns, most notably with Charleston HALOS. She received the Future Leaders Scholarship from CMAA in 2019. In the fall of 2022, Kendall embarked on a new opportunity as the Club’s Systems Operations Manager, focusing on the Club’s performance-based systems and supervising the Club’s IT Department. When not at the Club, Kendall enjoys time at home with her loved ones, testing out new recipes and wine pairings.
