Benefit Eligibility

An employee who is authorized to work 30 or more hours in a one-week period and who is not classified as seasonal is said to be benefit eligible. This indicates that the employee is generally eligible for benefits that are offered by the company. Specific requirements of the individual benefit plans or employee choices may further restrict eligibility for certain programs. Part-time employees are eligible for certain benefits (flex time, 401(k)) according to the specific requirements of these benefits. Part-time 20 employees are not eligible for company offered or sponsored benefits.

This benefit eligibility date is the 1st day of the month following the 60-day waiting period. This date may differ from the date of hire due to adjustments because of employee change of status from seasonal to regular full-time, from part-time to regular full-time.
